I'm planning on going to a pot luck style party in a couple weeks.  I'm planning on doing at least one fatty and some ABT's.

I'm just wondering how to reheat them and how far ahead of time they can be smoked.  I'm figuring I'll have access to an oven and/or some sort of grill.

I purposely stuck some of my fatty and a couple ABT's in the fridge for experimentation's sake, but I was hoping to call upon some experienced pit masters...

You can smoke them up to a week ahead and refrigerate.  You can freeze and keep even longer.  All without quality loss.

Reheating options include the standards: microwave, frying pan, oven, or grill.  I usually just heat in the frying pan and make it into a sandwich.

I haven't had the best luck freezing and reheating the ABT's. Refridgerated and reheated worked better. When I froze and reheated they came out mushy and I split em up between the microwave and the oven. The ones in the oven lost most of the cheese. Microwave was super mushy. Fatties are easy going. Ive reheated in the micro and the oven. You could probably even throw em on the grill to reheat. This is just based on my experience.

To tell you the truth we have never reheated ABT's, there always gone in about 2 minutes, but fatties heat up well in the microwave. The only drawback is the bacon looses it's crunch. Since you will have access to a grill I think I would reheat them both on the grill. As far as smoking them I would do it as close to the party as you can, so you can just refrigerate them instead of having to freeze them.

No problems with the fatty but its best if u can do the abt's at the gathering.
