Howdy Y'all!

I've been using my smoker for about two weeks, and I absolutely love it. I've done Chicken Wings and Meatloaf and they both came out excellent. My fiances birthday is coming up and I might have bought a little to much meat. I've got 3 whole chickens, 2 pork butts and some chicken drumsticks. I'm planning on smoking some baked beans towards the end too because I saw it on another post. Any suggestions?

You might as well throw a pan of mac-n-cheese in there too.

Maybe some ABT's for an appetizer.

Dani, sounds like you're getting hooked on this smoking thing!  Not a bad hobby and always something new to try.

Like Al said, smoked mac and cheese ROCKS!

Please, post some pics of your creations!

Al and Buzzard do y'all have a favorite Mac and Cheese recipe that y'all use?I have a pretty good oven baked one but the noodles are usually fully cooked before I add the cheese sauce and I don't know if that would be good for the smoker.

Give the no boil a try. There are numerous versions on here, this will get you started.

If you are planning on smoking the chicken and the pork at the same time keep in mind that the birds will be done sooner. The drums will be done before the whole birds. I'd be inclined to do the pork a day or two in adavance and reheat. Chicken really does better at higher temps. If you have room is recommend spatching the whole birds.

Put the butts early in the AM, just put the chickens on and put up the temp some. Everything seems to be going well. Just started some cream corn and prepping the beans. Watching some football and drinking some beer while the meats going and waiting for my Aggies to play at 6

Dirtsailor,

I was able to spatch the birds, it was my first time doing it and had to look up a video. I'll have to try the Mac and cheese next time. Everyone asked for me to make my creamed corn instead.
