Well I noticed after my smoke last weekend that some paint had bubbled and flaked off the shell on the inside of my ECB. Looking closer at it I started to pick at it (during the clean up process) and I was tearing with ease a good portion of crackled paint inside of my electric ECB. I do keep this thing well oiled and maintained and I noticed during the smoke, that the smoke was mainly coming out where the paint was flaking away. Am I screwed or what should I do to fix this? I was thinking of taking a wire brush and scrape away some more of the paint and then put a good coat of oil on it. I’ve only had this unit for 9 months and have done a dozen smokes. Any suggestions? I would like to have this last for a few more months and then planning on upgrading this summer to a propane smoker. Thanks.
