I've hesitated to put oil on meat being afraid it would change the flavor and make it more greasy, but have had problems with the outside of meat getting too hard and the inside getting dried out. Recently a friend has encouraged the use of olive oil to help with both of those issues, and said it doesn't have a bad influence on the overall flavor. Do you people support that--I'm guessing you do having seen it suggested here and in youtube vids--and how do you suggest applying it? I only have a bottle of liquid, not spray. Also do you use it on all meat, or on some things like chicken but not on others?

Thank you for any help with this!
carlini olive oil real or fake

Hello. As you know more then 70% of extra virgin olive oils are fake. Some brands that i used to buy are not available in Finland (at least i didnt find them). I dont care much for money when buying healthy food. Can somebody tell me which one is best one in Finland and why you prefer that one? Thank you a lot

I absolutely love a good peppery olive oil, whoever said it shouldn't be used in salad dressing is 100% wrong. As much as I love the taste of evoo, I wouldn't put it on my BBQ ever. You can use anything you like, but to me, it leaves an overpowering, off-putting taste. If I was going to put oil on meat to help with it drying out, it would be a tasteless oil like grapeseed oil, avocado or plain old corn oil or better yet lard.
