Hello SMF members,

My name is John, I'm from New Jersey and am a total newbie to the world of smokers.  I have a MES, which unfortunately, after I bought the 3 rack model that I did, I noticed the MES with the programmable thermometer on top and the rest of the improvements compared to the one I have... so I already told my wife that the model I have, is my training wheels, lol.

I look forward to learning a lot from all of the posts on here, as well as communicating with you, the members as well.

Hello KathryN,

Thank you for the warm welcome !  Yes smoker has bee seasoned and I have already smoked 2  3lb boneless turkey breasts, 1 with apple wood and the other with cherry wood, both looked beautiful, and tasted good too !  I look forward to interacting with, and learning from, everyone on this site, I have already learned what an AMPNS is, LOL, and plan on getting one myself.

Thanks again for the welcome, look forward to chatting with you again soon, happy smoking !

BT Broiler,

Thank you for the Welcome, and I too would like to extend a Welcome to you.  This site is awesome, I have learned alot so far, and even applied some of my learning to my couple smokes.

If you haven't already found out about AMNPS, please do your self a favor and look into it, they are absolutely awesome !  Also, I did ribs using a 3-2-1 method I learned about on here and they turned out unbelievable !  If you are not allergic to nuts, ya have to try the recipe that Todd (owner of A-Maze-N-Pellets/AMNPS) put on here. I just made the nuts the other day, and they are getting rave compliments from everyone how has tried them, they are crazy delicious !  Always glad to see another NJ resident on here !  This site is great and I wish you many a happy smokes. I'm here if you need anything !
