Hello All, I have been lurking here on the forums for a week or so and I decided I should introduce myself and thank everyone out there for all the incredible information and helpful tips. I got a Char Griller with the Side Fire Box for my birthday. We got it assembled, did a couple of mods that I found on here (extending the chimney, adding bricks for tuning plates, flippinng the lower rack for a baffle and adding a cheap improvised charcoal basket). I have a pork shoulder on now, sorry I totally forgot about the Q-View but I will try to figure out the picture thing. Thanks all for the great tips and info!

Welcome Loco!  Lots to learn here, I know my family sure is happy with what I have learned!  (other than the cool homemade smokers that get posted and give me new ideas... my wife does not like those so much :)

Welcome to the forum. The Char-griller is a nice way to get your feat wet and learn how to maintain fires and what not - I had the Smokin'-Pro for about a year and produced some good que with it.

Welcome to SMF and your new addiction.
