New year first post.

Hello folks, just registered for the forum. I go by Avdad because I used to fly for the fun of it but my son's took it seriously. They are both professional pilots, one Navy the other UPS. I am retired after 32 years as a police officer in Clarksville, IN which is located close to Louisville, Ky. I currently have an MES 40 gen 1 unit that was given to me by my younger brother after he purchased a new one. I'll get educated on this unit and probably follow suit buying new or rebuilding this one. I have a lot to learn. First try didn't go so well. I think I know where I made my mistakes but might have some questions. Thanks for allowing me aboard.
