Hey everybody. Want to get into smoking, but I'm not sure which smoker to get. Will probably never smoker large amounts of meat or do it extremely frequently, but would do it every once in a while for some tasty food. Was thinking about getting the following smoker. Is it good and do you guys think it will work for my occasional smoking needs?

Welcome to the SMF! I think the Brinkmann will do fine for you. I especially like the dual door system on it and wish more had them. Only thing about the Brinkmann's is that you'll need to make sure it gets covered or stored out of the weather as I hear they're notorious for corroding.

Welcome to SMF. I would say that is a good starter unit. I will also say that you will probably smoke more and more the better you get at it. Again Welcome.

Welcome to SMF glad you decided to join us. That smoker will work fine but as was mentioned don't believe you'll only smoke once in awhile before long you'll be as hooked as us

Have fun and good luck with your decision

Welcome to the SMF, plenty of good advise/tips from great folks. I usually suggest getting a smoker that will handle more than you think you'll need. It's all good my friend.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.
Welcome To Your New Addiction

Forgot to comment about your smoker selection. I am a beginner myself but from what I have read on here I think that it would be a great starter smoker. However it looks pretty slim so you might have trouble get full racks of ribs and your larger meats to fit. Check out the GOSM. I just got one and put it together last night but its gotten great reviews from SMF and the reviews from the store. Just my opinion.

Yup, won't be long and he'll be shopping a new wide body or a SFB model. If it gets bad enough he'll have three or more smokers!

Good Luck And Happy Smokes

Let me start with this one

While this is an honorable intention, be fore warned that smoking meat can quickly become an addiction. Just ask anyone on here....or better yet ask my wife, she can give you an ear full.

I can;t help you with that smoker because I have never used a propane smoker, however, I am sure plenty of others can give you sound advice on it.

I prefer stick burners and charcoal smokers personally.

Good luck
