Today ended much better. 8 whole pork butts ( bone in and skin on) we thought we would have to wrap them and put them back in; but, at 6 hours all were at 195. We put then in a clean dry cooler for 2 hours and started pulling them. It's been a long day. Pork tastes great, mess is cleaned up and we've made a list of changes we want to make for the next time.

Now looking at the Amazen smoker. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and advice.

Where's the pictures ?

WOW!  I just noticed in the photo below, that I need to rethink the location of my smoker in proximity to my grill tank>  (Just a thought! O_o )

The meat we were smoking was for a wedding reception that my wife volunteered for. Seeing that it was our first time EVER smoking meat, we ran a little frantic. By the time we finished the smoke and moved to the pulling it was already late. We didn't get done until almost midnight.  So, no photos of meat this time.  I can say it was fall off the bone done, moist and mighty tasty!

forbey.....photo bucket is sortof considered an "off site" link. (which is a no-no and the Terms of Service explains that) Earlier in "my welcome" here in this thread I gave you the SMF link to show you how to upload the q-views  here. You will need to take the photo bucket pics off and upload them again.

Check it out and see if you understand how we do things here with Q-Views.

Thanks, Kat. I'm just used to using photobucket in all my other forums.  I'll repost them when I get the chance.
