Been hangin round the site for a little while now, checking things out. Looks like a good bunch of folks. Grew up in west central FL. Joined the AF working on A-10s and moved to Alaska. Loved it up there. Got orders out to Tucson where I have been for the last 4.5 yrs (trying to get back up North). Not new to smoking, mostly seafood though. Have gone thru several smokers in the past and am now building a monster RF (well, biggest one I've ever had). I'll post the build once I finger out how to post pics (seen the "how to", gonna need it). Gonna take my time and do it right so the postings may be slow....I look forward to talking with ya'll.

First off welcome Akhntr to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.
Welcome To Your New Addiction

...ok, trying to do an avitar (?). I keep getting "invalid file" message. Even sized it to tiny, 120x75 or something like that. Still wont take it. So, I am gonna try to post some pics of the build in the build section, then when Mamma gets up she can help me...we'll see. (Me and computers don't get along very well)

Thanks for the welcome folks. HA, I figured out the avatar thing!
