New the the forum.... and smoking

Hey All,

  Purchased a Smoke Hollow cabinet propane smoker about 3 months back.  From Amazon with prime shipping I got it overnighted for $2.99 shipping!! Using the information I've seen on here I've done a brisket (turned out "ok") and a couple of turkey breasts.  Last weekend I did a chuckie which I was very happy with.

  Tonight I'm doing some brats and some ABT's.  I took some before pics and I hope to get the after pics in about 2 hours!

  Thanks for all the great information on this site I've branched out and started doing some things I would have never thought of on my own!

$2.99 for overnight shipping! Why didn't you walk next door and pick it up?...

Starting off with brisket and large poultry probably wasn't the best way to introduce yourself into smoking. I'm glad to see you ratcheted down to simpler dishes. Do another chuck, maybe a few pork butts, some ribs and chicken and work your way back up to the brisky from there. The last thing you want to do is drive yourself into disappointment and then disinterest in smoking.. Keep reading and search all around.. Welcome aboard..

I have a full brisket in the freezer that I'm trying to decide when to cook.  My wife want a "couple of weeks" between bar-b-que sessions so I'm having to hold off on it.
