Hi All,

My name is Kris and I'm totally new to the smoking world. I've been wanting to start for a while and was able to acquire a free ECB from some relatives who never got any use out of it. I spent the afternoon doing my initial mods and a 2 hour cure. So far I added holes  to the charcoal pan for air flow and attached a new thermometer to the lid. I'll be using the charcoal grate from my smokey joe to keep the coals off the bottom. I'm hoping to get my first smoke in pretty soon. Thanks ahead of time for all the help I'm sure I will need!
