Hello All,

I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Matt and I currently live in Green Bay, WI.  I have lived a few other places in our GREAT country, but for now this is where I will call home.  I will ALWAYS be a diehard PACKERS fan (hence the screen name smkndabears).  I have always loved the taste of smoked meat and have been talking about getting a smoker for years.  Well, my finance got sick of hearing me just talk about it and bought me a Masterbuilt Duel Fuel Smoker for Christmas.  My fist smoke was a brisket and a couple whole chickens in the middle of winter (I think it was about -20 wind-chill).  It turned out OK, but I definitely left room for improvement.  I have smoke about 5 more times since then (chicken and ribs) and it gets better with every smoke.  My ultimate goal???  I would love to smoke for a living off of straight wood.  At this point I am smoking off of propane.  There is just something about busting my rump on a product and then having friends\family tell me that the meal is great.  I would love to hear that from a stranger!!  I do enjoy hunting, so I do have an interest in smoking wild game and making it taste great.  I have grilled venison and we didnt really like it.  I would like to become confident enough that I could smoke ANY meat and it would turn out wonderful.  Wishful thinking???  Maybe, but that is my goal.

Thanks for reading and you will hear from me soon!!!
