I recently got a brinkmann gourmet charcoal smoker for free from a friend and decided to give it a try. Before I used it I figured I'd look for some "how to" info online and that's when I found this forum. I've learned so much in the past few days reading these boards and I want to thank everyone who takes the time to share their knowledge / experiences here. I've used the smoker twice this week with great success. I really enjoy it and look forward to sharing my experiences here.

. I did a whole chicken and a pork loin for my first try because they were fairly cheap and I didn't know what to expect and both came out excellent.
