I found my new (to me) sausage stuffer on Craigslist for a mere $60.00. It's a Chop-Rite (formerly Enterprise) #35 8 qt. stuffer, in very good condition. No cracks or repairs needed, just a good refurb and seasoning.
I'll give it a cast iron electrolysis clean up, repaint the non-food surfaces (excluding gears, threads, etc) with high temp paint, and then oil it up and give it a good oven seasoning and it'll be ready to go.
A new 3/8" tapered, 7/16" straight, 1/2" tapered, and 3/4" tapered stuffing tubes are on the way, along with a new press gasket from eBay.
I should be able to fill it with about 15 lbs at a time, I think. On to the pictures!
