I am from Mississippi and am fairly new to smoking.  Have used a cheap Brinkmann charcoal smoker a few times a year and have just bought the new Brinkmann electric smoker to see how I like it before investing in a more expensive smoker.  Hope to get some good tips and info in this forum.

Welcome, but why buy an expensive smoker? You don't have to buy expensive. It doesn't make the meat taste better. Learn on the smoker you got. Find it's sweet spot. You will be amazed.
