I am a new member and also new at smoking. I purchased a Char Broil Big Easy SRG as my first and look forward to growing in knowledge using it, and especially using this site to gain much needed advice. I do realize that the Big Easy is not a true smoker but I thought I could gain knowledge of smoking and perhaps later upgrade to a true smoker. I would like to say hello to everyone.

welcome,you will learn as much as you want here,also you will see you don't need expensive equipment to smoke or grill great food.everyone here is very willing to help with any questions you might have,as i was told when i joined smf,you will get 10 different answers for 1 question,everyone has their own little way of doing things you'll have to try different ways to see what you like best. good luck
