Hey yall.  I'm Ben.  From south Texas, but living in Denver, CO now.  Favorite thing to smoke is a big beef brisket with mesquite.  Unfortunately, there's none of that in Colorado.  Looking to find some good options for wood to find around here.  There's tons of pine, but I've heard that's not good.  What about scrub oak?  Looking forward to finding and sharing some good tips.

  2. Hello Ben and welcome, DO NOT USE PINE !!!!  Should be able to find some hickory or oak, just make sure it is seasoned.
