Costa Mesa California
Hey everybody! I am very happy to have found this forum and to join! My name is Justin Kirk and I live in beautiful coastal Orange County California. I purchased about six months ago a 18 1/2" Weber Smokey Mountain vertical smoker. Previously I had a Little Chief Smoker. While I enjoyed the Little Chief, the Weber is by far a better smoker. My recent smokes have included a 6 pound boneless tri-tip roast, 7 pound chuck roast, a 4 pound pork shoulder, and a 5 pound leg of lamb. Today/tonight's smoke is a 10 pound sirloin tip roast. Just purchased a Chef's Choice Meat slicer.  Looking forward to carving half the roast for dinner tonight and slicing up the other half for sammies for tomorrow nights dinner! My favorite thing about smoking, other than the meat is the long process that "requires" my constant attention... otherwise known as hanging out in the back yard with some friends and sipping a cold adult beverage!
