I've been following the forum for several years and picked up a lot of good information and tips.  I finally decided to join.  My job at the time, required I live in the Oregon mountains and forest areas, back in the 70's and 80's,  before moving to Southern California 25 years ago.

When I live in Oregon game was abundant and an old Alaskan taught me to make sausage and smoke everything from bear to venison.  It was a great hobby and I always liked that I could have my hobby and eat it too.

I put the smoker away after moving from Oregon, but renewed my interest in it about 10 years ago.  The only game I get anymore is at the grocery store, but I enjoy everything from making summer sausage to bacon. pastrami and everything in between.

I really appreciate the share experiences, tips and information on this forum.
