New IPhone app - Smoked! Takes place of a paper journal with lots of add ons

  1. I just purchased a new app for my phone SMOKED! It seems to be a pretty cool app that I can keep all my journals in going forward. I can also save my favorite recipes there as well - and it has some multiple timers to keep track of stuff too! Take a look at it and let me know what you think and I will post more as I use it as well.

Just downloaded the app. Looks pretty neat. When I have time I will get into it. Thanks for the info.

  3. I sent in a question to the app builder and he is already working on a change - allowing a spot for recording periodic internal temp readings and then posting them in a chart. This guy is like us and really loves to smoke! He is also a very good programmer that wants to make this the best it can be and really loves feedback! Try it out and send him your comments - or post them here and he can see them!

Happy Smoking and have a great Thanksgiving!

  4. Just downloaded it to my iPhone. Looks like a very handy app - now I can have my recipes saved on the phone and in a journal. I always get asked how I did something when people taste my smoked food, and now I have a handy reference when I'm away from home. I also like the dual timers built into the app.

  5. I got a chance to get with my smoker this weekend and smoked a couple of butts for pulled pork along with 15 pounds of country style ribs. Got a chance to play with the Smoked! app some more. I really like the voice recorder for inputting stuff. I input 4 different recipes in about 10 minutes! It also came in handy when I was doing my journal for the smokes. I simply called up the app and talked into it (neighbors probably thought I was crazy talking to my smoker on the patio in a 20 degree morning!) This app sure makes it easy to keep track of all my smokes and rate them for later use
