I live in the Charlotte,NC area and would like to learn how to smoke and grill more than hamburgers and hotdogs. I just bought a new Char Griller Trio. I have not tried it out yet but cannot wait to get started. I will probably be asking some dumb questions but please be patience with me until I gain some smoking knowledge. GLAD TO BE HERE.

Welcome to SMF glad you joined us. You'll find lots of good info and some great recipes here. I would also suggest signing up for Jeff's 5 Day Ecourse it's free and has some great info. Have fun and happy smoking

Welcome aboard!

Like they said. It's all here if you just spend the time to look and read.

Since you are at the "hotdog and hamburger" level, please be patient with yourself and take your time. The classifieds are full of smokers that have only been used once or twice. Don't let this be the fate of your smoker. Start small and easy and learn from your mistakes as well as your successes. Whatever you do, don't invite all your friends over for brisket next weekend. Buy some chicken and some country style ribs and get going.

Ohh, do post pictures of your smokes. We love to see the q-view and it can really help someone help you..

Enjoy!

First off welcome to SMF there Bucko. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
