Howdy all,

My name is Cameron. I am in the U.S. Coast Guard serving in Houston, TX right now. I am a new member to the forum, but have used it quite often for the last year...big fan of the fatties!!! I have been smoking for several years but I am currently between smokers...well a decent one at least. I cannot decide whether to buy a brand new one now or wait till I get to my next duty station. But I will probably end up getting a new one soon anyways...especially with football season finally upon us. I guess thats about it. Looking forward to sharing!!!

Hi Cameron. Welcome to the forum. Lots of great people here. I'm still learning and here is just the place to do it! I look forward to your sharing and seeing some pics.

Welcome aboard. 17 beers sounds about right for an average smoke. buy a cheap smoker and hand it off to the next guy when you leave. then buy another and do it again. you could be like the johnny appleseed of smoking

Great to have ya 17beers, I taught school in cypress-fairbanks on NW Houston. If ya love makeing good Q this the place. Also we love Qview.

Welcome Cameron. Like the name 17 beers. 17 usually makes me go to sleep. LOL.

Welcome to SMF, and thank you for your service to our country!

I've only bought one grill new, the rest have always been used. I found my Brinkmann SnP for $50, and it's the older style with the heavy duty metal construction. It's sad to say, but a lot of people buy smokers and only use them once or twice, then get tired of looking at them. Just my 2¢
