Hi All
I'm Mike from Tennessee. A little background, I have done very little smoking in the past, built a smoker out of a 250 gallon oil drum and used it several times with what I thought was good results and one morning a gentleman knocked on my door and wanted to buy the cooker and he made me an offer I could not refuse. so I sold it ( wish I hadn't). So now that I'm getting real serious about this I'm going to build a brick pit in the backyard. But until that is done I will be using a small vertical smoker this weekend. I know I will have questions. Thanks in advance Mike

Hia Mike! Welcome to SMF. Hmmm Cowgirl here my have a few tips on brick pits. Can't think of anyone else offhand who runs one, but I bet a few do! There are alot of different setups and such here, and some things remain constant whether ya run an ECB, or a brick pit. Airflow, temp regulation, and the Thin Blue are all common factors.

You came to the right place to get goin' and keep smokin'!

Welcome aboard Mike, you have come to the right place!

Good luck with your new project, keep us up to date with pix!
