New guy on the block. I live in Central West Texas in a town with a pop of approx 4500 people.
I started checking out Smoking Meat Forum getting ideas on how to build a smokehouse out of an old freezer.
This forum has been a great help.. I built my smoker and smoke generator using an old freezer and an old filing cabinet..
I spent about a month and a half working on it using ideas from SMF and trail and error. My biggest expense was a "store bought" PID from Auber instruments. I have attached some pics of my build; to which I pat myself on the back. My plans are to use the smokehouse for homemade sausage and jerky and be able to use hot and cold smoke.
I appreciate the information Smoking Meat Forum had to offer for us "rooks"
