Hi everyone, I lucked into a stainless hoper at work, looks to me like a great vertical smoker project, first off the hopper it's three pieces, a top which has two good size opening ill have to fill in, the middle section that is 42 inches tall, 241/2 x 241/2 inside dia, then the bottom that is 21 inches tall 13 inches deep with holes to fill in as well!! So what to do with all this stainless, do I firebox directly in the bottom or use the opening in the side to make a offset firebox? If I do a offset should I make it reverse flow? If gut in the bottom do I need a deverter plate? Looks to me like I can put 3 cooking shelfs 8 inches apart, add to mine or give me total new direction !!!! I'm attaching pics, thanks for your help!!

Also, if you would note your location in your profile, it will help in the future when answering questions about smokin'...   elevation, humidity etc....

We're glad you stopped in and joined our group...    Enjoy the long smokey ride....     Dave

Dave has got you sorted about  Roll Call.  We would like you to introduce yourself.  All that stainless looks great but how will control heat lose?  It will be probably no more than the WSM but will have to be considered.  If we can help let us know.   Keep Smokin!
