Hi, my name is Dave. I'm a Marine EOD Tech currently in Afghanistan.

I've been learning how to smoke/BBQ thru my own experiments for a few years now. My biggest experiment so far has been a whole pig that I did in February when I was at home (Home is in PA). It didn't go as planned, the 100 lbs pig was a little to big for the grill i was using so grandma let me basically butcher it on her kitchen table. It was a fun experience for grandma and I. So i ended up just smoking the entire butt and 1 side of ribs, everyone that came over loved it. So all in all, it was a good day! But now that I've found this forum I think my knowledge will increase greatly! I look forward to learning a lot from you guys! Take it easy, and good smokin!

Welcome aboard on the smf boat. Hey thanks alot for your service myself and familly are greatful there are folks like you doing a great job protecting are liberty's come home safe and happy smoking.

I wish I was able to. I'd have to build my own smoker. Which wouldnt be to hard with a little ingenuity. But getting a decent cut of meet would be next to impossible. There's no pork here, and to get beef I'd have to buy the entire animal. Guess I could try a goat!

But thank you all for the welcomes! Already learning alot, thank you!
