Howdy yall,
I have been an amateur backyard smoker for a long time. I just upgraded my equipment to a Chargriller with sidebox. I tend towards brisket, pork shoulder, turkeys, and homemade sausage. One of these days I'll get another deer and try that too.

I hope to pick up some ideas from others out there who share my interest in this great pastime.

My rig for the past several years has been a charbroil water smoker set over an 18 wheeler rim to replace the burnt out base. It works great, but I like a little variety in my methods.

I'd be interested in getting involved with customized rigs that use propane or natural gas in comination with wood and special controls to keep the temperature even or "profiled".

Healthy 2008 to all you smokers,
TXUN
