I have been using my Redi Check for a long time and other than having pour range it has been a great unit. Well lately my range has been really really pour. I figured the batteries were just getting low so today I put new batteries in both units figuring I would be all set again but no I am still fighting with range. I did some testing and I actually had it sitting on my grill which is about 15-20ft away straight line of site and it won't update the remote unit. Has anyone else run into this and if so is there anything you can suggest I try? I use to be able to sit in my house and have my smoker in the driveway and it would work just fine.
