need help turning my ECB to propane

anyone know how i can turn my ECB to propane without buying one of those afterburners? I have no experience with propane or anything like it so if you can break it down simple for me. thanks alot!

Oh i guess i should mention that cheapest way possible with some type of temp control is what im shooting for. thanks

Sounds like your looking to blow yourself up...

Safest way is an afterburner! $30 bucks to stay healthy? Why change over to gas?

Yeah bubba is right about blowing yourself up. I was pondering how I could convert my Brinkman over to gas and experimented with a turkey fryer burner I had. Problem is most propane burners need flow. Which means you have to have a high flow of propane to keep the burner lit and not get blown out by wind or something. The afterburner isnt that expensive and it is meant for low volume flow.

After it was all said and done, I was glad I bought the afterburner and not risk blowing myself up.

Have to agree with the other posters. Have an Afterburner H on the way for my SnP as we speak. Ed at Gassmoker.com is really GREAT to deal with. If you have no experience with propane I think you would be way ahead to get an Afterburner. You may not save that much money in the long run trying to cobble something together on your own and it would probably be way safer.
