I got my new Digital 6 Rack yesterday but haven't opened it yet...

No need to since it is going to be raining until sometime Thursday...

I plan on taking pics from unwrapping through setup and seasoning and posting them here...

Going through the same stage with an original with 4 racks, you will be impressed , the original is brilliant, the digital can only be heaven.

WHAT?

You got a new toy and didn't open the box?

Man, if I had a new toy that box would be history, rain or no rain.

Congrats and good luck with it.

My new 6 rack digital arrived today and I have it out of the box and together. Csn't believe that Bradley doesn't send seaeoning puck with it. I have pucks ordered but they have not arrived yet. It's killing me to sit here and not be able to season this baby ao that I can smoke tomorrow. Pray for me.

Actually it is still setting inside the front porch where the UPS guy sat it...

I can't lift it as I am in a wheelchair and it is too heavy for the wife to lift so, until it stops with the rain, there is no since getting someone to come over to move it to its new location... LOL

Believe me when I say I am NOT a patient guy... Well the wife thinks I should be a "Mental Patient"

I wish I was closer I'd run over there and open your package for you. Don't you hate it when you get a new toy and you cann't play with it. So as far as bluefrog I would season the darn thing with an old shoe or something. Somehow there would be smoke something at my house. Small children or dog or cats make good smoke. Ha ha. Hey Beer don't get mad with ron I'm sure he didn't know. He's too good of a guy for that.

FYI One thing I noticed about my 4 rack digital was that the temperature readout was waaaay below what my digital thermometer was showing. 20-25F below, which explained a lot of really long smoke times for pulled pork.

Otherwise my Bradley is my favorite for fish and cold smoking. For fish you can easily increase the temp slowly over time, and for cold smoking, its a really good set up.

Appreciate the though but that would be a long drive...

My son can do it I just haven't had him to until the weather get where I can play.

Thanks, I have read a lot about that and am already considering a PID...

Congrats on the new smoker my friend, looking forward to the pics. Have fun.

Sorrry man, didn't realize you were in a wheel chair. If I was closer I'd come over and help, hell, bring some beer also and we'd be smokin'.

Shoot Ron, you didn't do nothing to be sorry for. I just haven't had my boy come and move it because of the weather...

I made a 26 mile trip to Gander Mountain and got some pucks for mine. Got it seasoned and smoked chicken wings on it yesterday because I couldn't wait another minute. Oh and a dozen eggs also went in. The wings were great and the eggs are super. Plan to do a chuck roast tomorrow and a fattie. It is awsome to "set it and forget it"! I'm getting old and lazy went from wood and charcoal to propane now eletricity. I don't know how I can make it any easier.

Great, glad everything is going strong...

Tomorrow is the day I start with mine. I plan on pics from unboxing on through first use...

My new 6 rack showed up on Friday, had it seasoned on Saturday, and cold smoking 5 lbs of cheddar on Sunday. I'm feeling kinda lazy though. No charcoal or wood to think about. The problem with that is now my wife knows, and my honeydo's have increased cause I got more time.

Not sure if you guys have checked out www.manventureoutpost.com, but I found the Bradley for $381-6rack. They also have the 48pack of pucks for $13. About $3 less than other places.

Your a strong person my friend, I also use a wheelchair. I'd have somebody it setup in the living room waiting for the yard to dry. Congrats.

I have gotten it unpacked, just haven't been able to get time to season and use it because of other things going on. Hope to get something in it this week.

The problem is with my mobility it has to be me and the wife and for the last few weeks she has been busier than a one armed paperhanger...

That is where I got mine and it was $376.42 then, they raised the price about a week later...
