I just bought my first smoker yesterday and seasoned it so here goes:

An hour in to it:

Thanks guys. Just threw some potatos on the smoker also. There's all that empty pace so I figured why not :-)

Yeah, It's just a cheapo but it seems to seal pretty well and I think should serve me fine a while at least until I learn more about this great art.

A cheap smoker can produce just as good a smoke as a big high dollar one. It's the person using the smoker that make the food good or bad. So give it your all and you will have some good Q or you will have a learning leason and you will eat it and learn what to do next time to get that Q the way you like it. So thats it in a nut shell.

Your doing fine on the Qview just keep them coming and we will be here for helping you with any questions.

Temp seems to have stalled at 150. I've been keeping the smoker from 190 to 230. That seems to be the temp it wants to stay with the dampers full open.

Started raining and I couldn't keep temp anymore. Had to move it to the oven with an internal temp of ~170.

Congrats on a great looking start. TBS, and Q View too. Way to go.
