Hey Cecil,

I know of your uncle designing the flag....that was in the 60's when he designed it? Proud to say that flag came from my home town. Now the house your mother grew up in.....is that the one on the corner that was moved or demolished and I think a bank went up there? Well im glad you like the design. You know us Cajuns are proud of our roots! My sister in law was raised in Gonzales. ...she was a Sanchez. I do know some arceneaux's.
The house my mother was raised in is stilll there. It is right on the west corner, set off the road a bit with all the pine trees in front, My cousin lives there now.. I know quite a few Sanchez's in Gonzales . I may know her or some of her family.

Some of you may have seen this on a few of the facebook uds groups but here it is, my first UDS build. Thanks for sharing tips and ideas!

Damn Man.....That thing looks like it was bought out of L.L. Bean!!! :Looks-Great:

I have to agree 100% with Venture on this!

Just curious, what is the flag you have painted on it?

Sorry for the late reply. This is the Flag of Acadiana. Painted on 26 guage paint grip sheet metal. And rolled to the correct diameter at a sheet metal shop.

Finally I have some time. I will smoke some baby backs, flank steak beef bombs (malcom reed style) and beef roast this weekend. Beef roast will be tricky for sure but im giving it a shot. Basically will smoke it a few hours then finish it in a covered pan with some liquid and onions and shred it to server over buttered grilled Texas toast.

Just curious, where did you get your drum? Was it somewhere in south LA. Also, what did you use to secure your temp wires?

I got the drum from C&G containers in lafayette la. Here is the pic of the wire thingy. Look in the lamp repair section at Lowe's.
