I would have to call that an Upright Drum Smoker?

Ugly Drum Smoker just doesn't apply here?

    Good luck and good smoking.

  5. I have to agree 100% with Venture on this!

LOL... I learned something, I can not age today, I knew it was UDS, but I thought the "U" was for something else. Of course his isn't ugly in the acadian theme.

    Where are you from?
  17. Hey DS, great looking smoker. My mother was born and raised in the Carencro area on Butcher Switch Road at the corner where I-49 cuts through. Love the Acadian flag on the front. The Acadian flag was designed by my Uncle Tom Arceneaux,my mothers brother. I was born and raised in Gonzales but spent half my life on the farm on Butcher Switch road. You probably know some of my relatives in the area.

    Hey Cecil,

I know of your uncle designing the flag....that was in the 60's when he designed it? Proud to say that flag came from my home town. Now the house your mother grew up that the one on the corner that was moved or demolished and I think a bank went up there? Well im glad you like the design. You know us Cajuns are proud of our roots! My sister in law was raised in Gonzales. ...she was a Sanchez. I do know some arceneaux's.

That is one fine smoker...  How is the flag attached and your handle designs, cut with a plasma cutter?

DS and Cecil,  I'm from just down the road in Iota, but I have a brother that lives in Breaux Bridge and an Uncle that lives in Carencro.

Thanks.. the sign is held on with magnets. I have the hardware to bolt it on with spacers but I like the magnet idea. Ill make an American flag and a marine flag ......different designs that are interchangeable. The handles were bought from bayou teche brewing at their tasting room. They were cut when I bought them. Hey another from cajun country. ....I have family in both Breaux Bridge and Carencro. Lots of smokers from Louisiana in here.
