As some of you may know i had some large chunk lump warming up in the mini and i forgot about it for about 20-30 minutes. When i got back to it the temp gauge was pegged, the grates were white and the steamer diffuser was all but gone and I lost most of my ND painted on the outside!!!...lol   The temps must have been over a thousand degrees.

I love using it with out the diffuser for grilling type smokes but I still needed a replacement for regular smokes. The most important thing was trying to repair my ND logo!

I had the bottom cutout from my stainless steel mini build which ended up being the perfect size.  Got holes drilled in it a little bigger than the original steamer now she's hums along from 250* to well over 400*. and holds even better steady temps than she did before thanks to the SS in there.

My little Notre Dame girl is all patched up and back in full action!

Wooozaaaaaa!!!! At least there wasn't any damage to your property! We had a house down the street from us loose its entire garage the other night. Faulty extension cord running a MES!

Yea no worries about that Case but for anyone says the mini can't get that hot doesn't know what they're talking about!  LOL.   It had to take some insane temps to blow that steamer completely out.   It's amazing what lump can do when there's lots of air space in between chunks.

Charcoal smokers are definitely safer than electric.

Oh yeah the min can get SMOKING hot! That's why I wanted to use it as a pizza oven! Which I need to get a therm that reads higher so I can monitor the temps at the Za level!

Wait till you see my new pizza/ stromboli/ calzone setup i'm making.  You'll love it!    It'll be a true wood burning oven but won't cost much to make.

As soon as I finish the wife's studio u am going to build a cob oven out back. Plenty of straw here just need to find a good source of clay nearby!
