Well I decided to try Mr. Phillips smoked meatloaf, so here goes!!!

Here is my original vessel

however, when I put the meatloaf on, it started to sink through, so 1st mod

Here she is all put together and ready for the smoker

Here she is IN the smoker

and here's a couple pics of my TBS

I used Jeff's recipe, but substituted red pepper for green pepper (wife likes the red ones better). I also added in a tablespoon of Weber Gourmet Burger Seasoning. I used a mixture of hickory and cherry for the smoke, and just water in the pan. Smoker is running at 250 degrees, so we'll see how long it takes!

More pics to follow tonight!

So far so good that meatloaf looks really good. I'll be waiting for the finish product.

Glad to see you're jumping right into the smoking thing, most of us have got caught smoking in the rain. It's all good my friend.

hmmm...not sure what to do. It's only been 2 hours and it's already at 150 degrees. I'm supposed to pull it at 160, but the rest of the dinner is not going to be done yet.

Any suggestions?

Looks as thought you are off to a great start...

Just finish it up and foil it and wrap in a towel then put it in a warm dry cooler and it will stay hot for hours

I pulled it off the smoker at just under 3 hours. Double wrapped in foil, then a towel, and then in the microwave for storage until the rest of dinner as done (only about 45 minutes).

Just off the smoker

I have to admit, this was a real good meatloaf! I never would have thought to smoke a ml, so big thanks to Jeff for the recipe!

Nice looking meatloaf, thanks for the qview.
