Marinated Beef Back Rib Dinner

    Hey everyone. I did this smoke lastweekend, but just getting around to posting it. I started of with the following ingredients to make a marinate...

    I then vacume sealed the ribs overnite in the marinate.

    After marinating.

    I then smoked them for 7 hours in the Smokevault using mesquite. They came out looking like this.

    In the meantime I browned some potato wedges in the 100 old Griswold and finished them in the oven.

    The day before I cooked some pinto beans in the crockpot to be used as refried beans.

    And dinner was served.

    The meat had a very nice flavor and was very tender as you can see it falling off the bone in the picture. This was a good recipe and I just love the beef back ribs. For those of you that have not tried them yet, I highly recommend them Thanks for checking out my post.

    My gosh that looks good! Wow! did you vacuum seal the wet marinade? Maybe your particular machine is able to do that. My machine would not do that so curious if you have a trick.

    I used a FoodSaver V2460 to seal the ribs. It has a wet and a dry seal mode with a moisture tray to catch any jucies it sucks out in the process. I had never tried it before this way and I did lose a bit of marinate but overall I was real happy with it and will definitly keep doing it that way in the future.

    Thanks to every one else for the kind words. It was a good meal and the Yorkies were pretty darned happy with bones!!

    Great job there reek. The food looks awesome. Love them ribs beef there are my favorite but not the wifes. I haven't seen homemade re-fried beans in awhile. I just mite have too no I will do this recipe for the ribs for sure. Then you threw in those taters they look good too.

    I just love making the refrieds. My mom made them alot when we were kids. I add Garlic, onion, one peice of bacon cut up. salt and pepper, some home made Ancho chilli powder and of course some chipotle for that smokey kick. Put it all in the crock pot while I go to work and you have the best refrieds you ever tasted.

    That is one fine looking meal! Don't know if I'd have been able to let yorkie have the bones. I'd still be polishing them myself.

    LOL. Believe me, I get the "Wheres the Beef?" Look alot from the Yorkie pack. :).

    I'm trying those today so finding your post was great inspiration. Wish I'd have seen it last night so I could have marinated them too.

    Hey Reeks, those look finger lickin good, and I love the addition of re-frieds! I have never done beef ribs before. What do you do during that 7 hr smoke? Do you mop or baste? If so, how often, and at what temp.?
