Hi all been a while. I'm close to getting my first pellet grill and was wondering which one might be better. Looking at Louisiana and Green Mt. These are the ones more in my price range. Thanks.

Hello NE.hunter...

I don't own either of those, but I've heard good things about both. I don't know anyone personally who has a Louisiana, but there are several here who own a GMG. They seem to have high customer satisfaction. I'd say both are good values for the money.

Maybe someone who owns one of these will weigh in...

I purchased the LG 900 about 2 months ago. Purchased through amazon due to no local distributor. Very happy with the upgrades that are standard on the LG series. The broiler feature was a major selling point to me so I could still do some hot and fast cooking for steaks. New to smoking but have smoked brisket, pork butt, tenderloin and chicken with great success.

I have a GMG Daniel Boone that's about a year old & have not regretted the purchase one bit.... Had the low pellet sensor go haywire & called the dealer I bought the unit from and a new sensor was on my front porch the next day..... Great unit & kicks out some awesome Q ! Good luck with your decision !
