Let me start off by saying that the baby backs that I did were the best I've ever done and my wife really like em'. I liked em' too I just wanted a little more tangyness to em' to compliment the other flavors. Here is the Rub that I used. I'm open to suggestions or completly different recipies.

    1/2 c. paprika

    1/4 c. brown sugar

             sugar

             salt

             pepper

             chili powder

             cumin

             cayenne

I smoke them with Hickory and mopped on apple juice for an hour or so at the end.

All in all I am pretty happy with the results but looking for a tweek.

    Thanks, Nate

Now when you say tangyness I'm thinking that you want some heat. If that's right then I might use the paprika but maybe try some Hungarian paprika it's alittle bit spicier then normal paprika. You can even try some cayenne pepper too.

Mop with a vinegar based sauce. Or find a tangy BBQ sauce that you like and try that.

Mix half apple cider vinegar w 1/2 apple juice and mop every hour after the first one.
