I live in Michigan and I'm 43 yrs old. I finally got up enough confidence to try my hand at smoking instead of baking.. I purchased a 22.5 inch Weber kettle grill to start out with. I made a kickin London Broil the other day which sent this frenzy into high gear. I am so looking forward to any helpful hints that are out there as I venture into the realm of smoking meat!!

Got the hook in you already, huh? Welcome to the forum and your new addiction. Glad to have you. The search function will get you answers for tons of questions and lots of good folks with great info here too.

Welcome to the forum from Lansing Rtdon.  And what a great forum it is to learn the art of smoking everything.

We have a Michigan group here.  http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/groups/show/27/michigan-members-group

If you get a chance check it out and please join if you have not done so yet.

We are having a Michigan get together this year and I hope you can make it.   There’s still time to get in the fatty throw down.

Thanks for invite handymanstan. I will definitely checkout the site. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the shindig on July 19. That is my son's open house date. However I would be more than honored to join the group next year.

Hey RTdon, big MI welcome to the SMF. Don't sweat missing the shindig this summer. We may try to do a small gathering this fall or winter so keep your ears open.

Hello and welcome to the site. Look through the different forums and threads lots of information on just about anything
