Latches and insulation

I am in the design process of my backwoods clone. I plan on flush mounting the doors and want to use "slam latches". most of the one I found online are either very expensive or only a few inches long. Anyone know of a website that sells them? Also, looking for insulation. I looked at 2" rockboard 80. this is the most cost effective way but would this be good by firebox. I know alot of people use Kaowool but that is pretty expensive when you get to 2". Any good sites out there for this stuff?
