Kfc Popcorn Chicken

    CLONE RECIPE..
    2 CUPS FLOUR
    1/4 CUP COARSE GROUND BLACK PEPPER
    1/8 CUP SALT (KOSHER OR TABLE SALT)
    1 TBLSP GROUND WHITE PEPPER
    1/2 TBLSP MCCORMICKS POULTRY SEASONING
    DIRECTIONS

    MIX ALL INGREDIENTS INTO LARGE MIXING BOWL..
    NOTE IF YOU DONT FEEL LIKE SNEEZING ADD MORE BLACK PEPPER TILL YA FEEL LIKE IT..(OPTIONAL ONLY)
    CUT BONELESS SKINNLESS CHICKEN BREASTS INTO STRIPS.. 1/2 OR 3/4 INCH ..THEN DICE TO ABOUT 1/2 TO 3/4 INCH CHUNKS.. BRINE YOUR CHICKEN CHUNKS IN A CLOSEABLE CONTAINER WITH A SALT SOLUTION SHAKING EVERY NOW AND AGIAN FOR APROX 15 MINS.. STRAIN CHICKEN CHUNKS ..PREHEAT DEEP FRYER TO 375 DEGREES..DROP ONKLY ENOUGH CHUNKS AS TO NOT OVER LOAD FRYER BASKET ..(APROX 1 HELPING HAND FULL ...SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS) INTO FLOUR MIX COAT HEAVY..REMOVE AND PLACE INTO STRAINER ..FILL A LARGE BOWL WITH COLD WATER AND QUICK DIP STRAINER INTO COLD WATER AND THEN PUT BACK INTO FLOUR MIX..(ALLOW WATER TO DRAIN FOR 20 SECONDS PRIOR)RECOAT HEAVY WITH FLOUR MIX AND PLACE SIDE BY SIDE INTO FRYER BASKET DEEP FRY FOR 4 TO 5 MINS ONLY TILL LIGHTLY BROWN..ALLOW TIME FOR OIL TO DRIP OFF AND SERVE HOT..MAKES A GREAT SNACK FOR FOOTBALL GAMES..

    I Thank You For Your Response..keep In Mind A Quick Dip Of Floured Chicken..remember Making Paste In Kindergarden..funny But This Is The Secret To Kfc Extra Crispy Chicken And Chicken Strips..enjoy ..mike

    Tried these last nite. I'm honestly not a fan of KFC at all but these looked good. They turned out great !!! Thanks for the recipe.

    I served them with a rasberry habanero sauce (thanks Keywesmoke), a horseradish/habanero (lotties) sauce and then a mayo and german mustard sauce. Then som mac n cheese and some fried okra.
