After a long hiatus I'm back!
A lot has happened in the past five years... I got married and then started a business and have spent five years with my nose to the grindstone. Believe it or not I just kind of forgot about smoking. And all of my other hobbies...
Anyways, after 5 years things are going great and I have some breathing room. We just moved in to our first house and having a BBQ tomorrow to celebrate.
After 5 years in storage something has has gone wrong with my MES and so I bought a new Masterbuilt Pro propane smoker last night. I always preferred my old GOSM to the MES anyways.
I picked up two 8# butts and a bird last night and put them in what I think was my usual brine. It's been awhile, so who knows....
I've got the butts out of the brine and chilling in the fridge with some rub to keep them company. Again, I think its my rub, but I'm winging here now...
I'll post a thread in the morning after I have a chance to really test out this new smoker and will provide some Qview.
