Gloria and I went shopping today and our first stop was for chile. They had Jalapenos for .69 cents a lb., and a 35# bag of fresh New Mexico Chile from Hatch that the produce guy said was $10. When Gloria hit the counter she told the checker “ the produce man said these are $10â€, and the gal just rang it up. All the while I was selecting some nice plump Jalapenos for future use. We finally met at the front door and left for Wally World. I found my dehydrator on sale for $36.88 and I bagged it. Also looked around at what was left of smokers, not much selection. On the way home Gloria told me about the sack of chile, she said the gal didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t even bother to scan it. Gloria said she was willing to pay more, but the checker couldnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t have cared less. The pics tell it all...

No smoker, the house is in escrow and I'm just gonna wait til we move, and then buy a GOSM. Because I'm in a walker, I need something that i don't have to tend to quite as often. I've got some new tweaks for the chiles...

Coley, we just roasted about 25# outside. I'll play around with the rest. The reason we buy so much is that we freeze some for use in Tamales around the holidays, make chile verde, chile rellenos, family always in need for a chile fix.
About the Smoke Pistol...can you give me the link? Is it about the Caja China?

That Smoke Pistol info is in Post #18 of the 'La Caja China' thread, and is concerning the connector that attaches it thru the cooker wall...
