Well I have been watching and drooling over your guys Dino Bones for the past few years and have always wanted to try them but never have and without any good excuse. Well I found some on sale at Walmart and I decided it was time to try them. The crappy thing is  I found several packages on sale when I stopped at Wally  World during work one day but I didn't have any way to keep them cold so I figured I would come back later. Well when I went back all the packages that were marked down were gone. Oh Well. Now  I know I love them and I will be stocking up if  I see a sale again. I was short on time so I rubbed them down with, Sea Salt, Accent, Pepper, Garlic & Onion Powder and Canadian Steak seasoning. I only had time to let them sit in the rub for around 45 minutes. I fired up the UDS and did a 2 - 1.75- .75 on them because I was short on time. Next time I will do a 3-2-1 on them. These were awesome in flavor but could have been a titch bit more tender for my liking. These will be on the menu again very soon! I served them with some Grilling beans that I  had on the smoker and a Rosco Onion. Which is an onion cut  in  1/8ths but not  all the way through and then put slices of butter  in the onion and  cover  it with beef bullion granuels. We  love these things.

All rubbed up and ready to  rest as  the UDS comes  up to temp.

After two hours and ready to go  into  the foil with a splash of beer added.

Getting removed  from the foil to go back onto the smoker again to firm up.

Looks good. The onion is a new one on me.  At first glance it looked like a head of garlic.  I need to try that one!

Good luck and good smoking.

Ross this is a great plate food . i really love to know how you do the onion?
Just take an onion and cut it in 1/4's or 1/8ths but don't cut it all the way through  on the bottom. Leave a little bit on the bottom uncut so it stays together in one piece. Next open up the onion a bit and stick 3-5 slices of butter inside the onion in different places and then cover with a generous amount of Beef Bouillon Granules then wrap in foil. Cook it for around 30 minutes on the grill or smoker. I like mine a bit crunch but if you want it more done cook it longer. Enjoy.

Ahhhh Dinos----My absolute favorite Ribbies !!!!!

I gotta get some soon myself!!!!

Thanks Ross!

Fell In Love With Dino's on Your First Date?

You'll never be the same!

IMHO....They are the best part of the Prime Rib!

I've found them at Walmart at a reasonable price.
