    I'm Dan, and I'm a smoked meat addict....

    Livin in SoCal which means I can grill and smoke all year in shorts. Spent too many years on the Pacific Northwest Coast while in the Coast Guard to want to live anywhere cold and wet. So when I retired and decided to start a second career I wanted to stay where my last duty station was and enjoy the weather. I've been smoking and grilling for too many years to count and recently purchased my first pellet grill. Where has this thing been all my life! I still have a vertical smoker and a gas grill so everything is well covered when it comes to outdoor cooking. Looking forward to learning a lot from the people here because no matter how long you do something there is always more to learn.

    Welcome to the board, Dan! Nobody guards secrets here, everyone will help you. Well, I can't help with a pellet rig because I'm burning sticks. We have dry sticks in Ohio *G*
