Hello fellow SMF members.

This is a Hobart 84141 bowl cutter (AKA: Buffalo Chopper) with a #12 drive hub for a meat grinder, vegetable or cheese slicer/shredder etc. It is single phase 208 volt (see the picture of the plug) so it will run fine on 220 or 240 volts, too.

These are great for a lot of cutting and chopping needs. We use them mostly for making sausage and especially for finely cut "emulsified" sausages like venison hot dogs and Frankfurters. It makes a 4-5 pound batch of meat batter for hot dogs in under a minute including mixing in the cure and spices-no messing around with hand mixing when you have one of these. Cutting pickles for canning homemade relish or chopping cabbage for a big batch of slaw takes only a few seconds.

We now have a different chopper and this one has been collecting dust in our garage so it's time to give it a new home. The chopper runs smoothly and has just been cleaned, sharpened and adjusted. We have the parts and instruction manual as a PDF which we can send/give to the buyer.

$750/OBO. Local pickup only in Sennett, NY only. Please reply to the thread or PM for more info.

We also have a full size holding/proofing cabinet (AKA: hot box) for sale.

Thanks for looking.

Lance

That's a good deal for somebody. Unfortuanately, you are 4 hours from me and I don't think I would use it enough...JJ

Hello Jimmy

We're thinning the herd some and getting rid of the duplicate items and some that we haven't used in a long while. We've got a Globe-Chefmate #12 grinder and prefer using the chopper's accessory drive to drive the grinder. The chopper is quieter and we can feed it frost crust frozen meat chunks as fast as I can drop them in.

I'd like to thank you for all the help you've given me and others over the years. If you are interested I'd be willing to meet you half way between us....

Have a great weekend.

Thank you for the kind words and the offer. I am moving to a new house in Emporium PA, the end of the month. My Accountant
