Central Ky
Hey everyone, i'm new to the site. Let's see, I'm from central Ky, work at a coal fired power plant, spent 8 years in the Army before that, and my wife just ordered me a masterbuilt electric smoker with a bunch of accessories for my 40th birthday. Just ran across this site and it looks like there's a world of knowledge here. I'm going to attempt to smoke my first batch of dead hog this weekend. lol Going to try babyback ribs. Wish me luck!

Welcome from South Jersey. This is the place to learn about BBQ. If you have any questions, be sure to fire away. People love to help on this forum. Good luck an I'm looking forward to seeing some Q-View.

Welcome to the board! Look around, there's a lot to study here. Enter your smoker model into the Search to get some tips.

Many suggest smoking chicken as an inexpensive and easy way to get the hang of your smoker's quirks.

This is a great user-friendly site. If you participate; start threads, ask questions, and keep up with your posts, you will really enjoy this forum. There are some serious experts on smoking here (I'm not one of them), and if you take their advice, you will be shocked at how good this stuff is.

Thanks everyone! Smoker arrived yesterday with a big ole forklift gash in the side of it. Sent it back and have another one on the way.
