Here is a sauce I have been meaning to share.

Vanilla Blackberry BBQ Sauce

1 Onion
1 tbs Garlic (or more
PDT_Armataz_01_22.gif
)
3 pints Blackberries
4 Tomatos
1c Molasses
1c Apple Cider Vinegar
1c Real Maple Syrup
2c Whiskey
1 tsp Ancho Powder
1 Vanilla bean scraped.
tt Salt

Sweat onion, garlic, blackberries, and tomatoes.
Deglaze with whiskey and reduce to au sec.
Add vinegar and reduce au sec.
Add remaining ingrediants and simmer 30 minutes.
Puree and strain.
 
Had it mainly on baby backs. I think it would be good on any meat you want a semi sweet flavor on.
 
It should be fine with frozen since you will be cooking them down anyways.
You might have to cook off any extra liquid that the freezing imparts.
