I just got finished with my RF smoker. I am using cowboy lump and soakedwood chucks. Got it up to temp but isn't smoking after wood chuncks are put in. I did a quick search but didn't find anything. Thank you for your help

Just remember - you don't want while billowing smoke - that is bad smoke. You want think blue, barely noticable smoke. Take a wiff, if you smell smoke you are dead on.

Good luck!

Ok thanks. I knew its not suppose to be billowing but its barely noticeable so I figured indexed a little more. But I guess not. Thank u for ur quick reply ill let u guys know how it goes and have a qview for u too. Im doing a tritip and some spare ribs... mmm can't wait

If it smells sweet then smoke is coming out even if you can not see it.  Open your chamber up and take a good wiff it should smell well like BBQ.

So I completely forgot to take a picture. Everything came out amazing. First time doing spare ribs. Fall off the bone good. Ill for sure have to get a picture for u next time. I know u guys go by the rule of" no qview, never happened thing" but I have witnesses an it was awesome according to my buddies lol.

Glad to hear everything worked out for ya.

How was the smoke ring?

Most of the time while I cook on my drums there is no visible smoke at all.

And the no pic no proof thing, I guess we can let ya slide this time. But after like 20 post its a real deal rule. LOL

The smoke ring and flavor was a lot more than I expected. Ring was about 1/4 inch all the way around on the tri tip. Smoke seemed to penetrate all the way throuh the ribs. I used apple wood for smoke since I was doing ribs knowing that misquite would have been pretty strong of a flovor. For sure next time ill get a picture for u guys
